Lisbon & Genoa

DSCN1066After seeing the awesome cities of Casablanca and Cadiz, we made our way up the Atlantic to see Lisbon, Portugal. Unfortunately for us though, it was a very rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from having a good time. We decided to take one of those city tour busses since it was so rainy, which ended up being a good idea because Lisbon is huge and there was just to much to see in one day if we were walking. Anyway, the bus took us to all of the cool sites to see. That included Rossio Square, The 25th of April Bridge and Padrao dos Descobrimentos. The last part of the bus tour, where we just had to get off because it looked so cool, was Belem. As rainy as it was and to most people would have been a miserable day, we had a great time and am so glad we got the opportunity to be here.

DSCN1119After we got to see Lisbon, we had three days at see to enjoy the beautiful weather on the Mediterranean. We were, after all, on our way to Genoa, Italy. Genoa was a great little Italian town that had some amazing buildings and architecture. It was one of those coastal cities that you can walk up and not through. Unfortunately we did not have much time to walk the city, so we decided to take another bus, which took us to all the cool sites to see. We saw the Old PortBasilica della Santissima Annunziata del VastatoPiazza Raffaele De FerrariTorri di Porta SopranaCattedrale di San Lorenzo, and the house where Christopher Columbus grew up. There were so many sites and we tried to stop as much as we could to take pictures. Genoa was definitely one of the best little cities we’ve been to and if anyone is ever near there, I definitely recommend you check it out.
